The Bluecap Sea

Stretching along the entire eastern coast of Terultimae, the Bluecap Sea is a vast and mostly-uncharted body of water. Anybody who sails too far from the coast, or who tries to sail too far to the south-west, is never heard from again.
The people who sail the treacherous waters most comfortably are the sailors of Dalhal, who have a carefully-charted course they follow year in and year out; spending the warmer months in the northern waters, close to Whitelake, before moving further south as the weather cools, spending the depths of winter anchored to the south of Coastview.
To the north-east, in the depths of winter each year, a vast and terrible storm known as the Queenbite rolls in from the ocean, assaulting the shore of The Nonary Land - a cyclonic blizzard that requires extreme preparations to avoid steep loss of life, generally lasting a full fortnight or longer.
