The Cult of the Swirled Tails

"Trust in the fox's grasp."

The most prominent religion on the continent other than the Church of the Nine Gods, the Cult of Swirled Tails, led by First Adherent Vixa, worships the kitsune-goddess Kiyomi, Queen of Hell.
An unassuming religious sect, they maintain a series of stores of magical goods and services, offering affordable healing, divinations, and general acts of magical convenience with the minor stipulation that the client or customer listens to a short sermon about the Hell-Fox's majesty - with a greater discount if they are willing to offer her a prayer from their own lips.
While it is rare that the Cult will involve themselves in politics, on the rare occasion that they do, they back policies of insularity and self-sufficiency, holding a position that New Coastview should be able to stand on its own, away from the influence of other cities.

Behind closed doors, however, the Cult is responsible for the propagation of apostasy, illegal magics, and diabolic pacts. Their overall goal is the erosion of the Divine Aegis, and every customer or client who prays to Kiyomi is a future breach in the magical shield, ready to be used the moment that their Devil-Queen wishes - and indeed, many Cultists, in particular the First Adherent, speak of the Day of Fox's Grasp, upon which She will close Her fingers and Her divine claws will shred through the Aegis like so much tissue.
