Gran Solhom
When Solhom fell, the Sun Elf peoples were scattered to the winds of their desert home. Some, seeking to make reparation for centuries of war, struck out towards New Coastview
, pledging their help to rebuild and aid the city in finding a new future. Others, pleased that their patron deity, The Living Eclipse, had joined the ranks of the Church of the Nine Gods, set off to Whitelake out with a more zealous purpose in mind. Striking out to the north-west, along the very foothills of where the Barrier Mountains touch The Blessed Dunes, and started to lay the stones for a new home for the proud elfish race - Gran Solhom.
Despite having been in construction for fifteen years, the creation of the new city has only barely begun - flagstones of black marble and burnished gold showing what the city is one day planned to be, despite it presently only being a loose collection of rudimentary buildings.
At the very western edge of the settlement, a palace, promising to be magnificent, is the primary focus of construction; known as La Gran Casa del Sol, it promises to be the tallest building in all of Terultimae once completed.
In the modern-day Gran Solhom, there are three sizable political parties of note, each of which has their own views, philosophy, and political positions as to how the city - and the Sun Elf Empire broadly - should be managed moving forward.
The Dawn's Glow party, led by Scholar Reya, is the middle sized of the three parties; their interests primarily focused on reclaiming the lost glory of the Empire, and uncovering - both physically and metaphorically - any old sources of power that the Empire once had.
The Noonday party, led by Solar Regent Rinha, is the largest and most prevalent party in Gran Solhom; Rinha currently acts as Regent until the palace is complete, at which point a new Sun Incarnate will be crowned. Noonday is a belligerent and aggressive party, uninterested in diplomacy or peaceful relations with any other state, believing that the Empire is supreme and has no need of outsiders.
The Dusklight party, led by Blessed Solina, is the smallest party in Gran Solhom's political field; speaking in favour of diplomacy and ties to other nations, the Empire will rise again in its due time but there is no dignity in raging against the setting of the sun.
