The Nine Gods

The Nine Gods are the circle of deities that are the primary targets of worship in settlements across Terultimae.

The center of their church is in Whitelake, and the Church of the Nine Gods is the largest single organization not affiliated with Arkis's Grand Academy of the Arcane.

The current members of the Nine are:

Kyna, Matron of Hope and Despair

Scias, Scholar of Curiosity and Ignorance

The Living Eclipse, The Hidden and The Revealed

Inere, Goddess of Joy and Sorrow

Tenemore, Lady of Victory and Loss

Krestenzia, Mistress of Creation and Destruction

Vlexem, She of Naivete and Cynicism

Davaris, Lord of Sound and Silence

Xyco, Master of Stillness and Movement

Until the Transition of Magic, Abditus, Lord of Truth and Lies, was a member of the Nine, before The First Red attempted to steal their divinity. Their position was subsequently inherited by The Living Eclipse .

Long ago, the peoples of Whitelake struck The Bargain With The Nine, and as part of this bargain, the Nine created a great magical working known as the Divine Aegis. This spell has lasted through the ages since, protecting mortals broadly from the evils that less benevolent deities may inflict.
